What is Journey of Values Program?
This program is based on the methodology of disseminating and deepening the concepts of citizenship, rights and duties, encouraging participation, building trust, non-violent communication and building bridges of peace, and reflecting these concepts on the participants’ behavior, work life, activities and their surrounding environment. Through the program, they will be able to build healthy communication among youth.
Target Group:
The program targets the age group of 18-40-year-old youth through forming youth groups and a facilitator that runs the dialogues occurring amongst them.
Program Journey:
These objectives are reached through the 9 modules the program covers in a comprehensive learning journey:
- Identity, assumptions, & culture.
- Trust
- Appreciative Inquiry.
- Dialogue
- Ubuntu, citizenship, & systems.
- PSS (Psycho-Social Support)
- Peace & violence study.
- Team Building.
- Projects & generating initiatives.
Program Expected Outcomes:

Deepening youth understanding of citizen roles, civil society, and building CBOs (Civic Based Organizations) to be of service to communities.

Enhancing youth capability to identify community needs.

Increasing youth capability to par take in inter-community dialogues.

Networking (connecting) similar local groups to exchange experiences and ideas.

Promote active citizenship values and nonviolence amongst youth.

Encouraging and embracing community initiatives and projects that adopt respect for others, build trust, take diversity, differences and richness that exist in our communities into account, and spread the culture of dialogue.
