Mobaderoon, through the “Peace Clusters” project, works to strengthen the capacities of “Mobaderoon” members to support local actors in peacebuilding through dialogue, mediation, and “Nexus” projects (linking humanitarian aid, development, and peacebuilding). In addition, the project aims to empower local peace groups, local NGOs, and community members by equipping them with substantive tools and knowledge on peacebuilding, offering them opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange, and providing a safe space for dialogue and the sharing of ideas, values, and experiences around peaceful coexistence, citizenship, and peacebuilding.
The Peace Clusters project also includes a sub-project titled “City Profile.”
City Profile: Community Intervention
This project involves the creation of a City Profile document — a comprehensive analysis of the city and its context in terms of development, relief, and peacebuilding. The City Profile is updated annually by the partners, facilitated by Mobaderoon, and has included several Syrian governorates: Aleppo, Kobani, Raqqa, and Tartous.
The City Profile is developed using a participatory approach that engages local communities and stakeholders, recognizing the importance of local knowledge and expertise in understanding the complex dynamics of the city, especially in conflict and crisis contexts. The goal is to address the developmental, relief, and peacebuilding realities of Syrian cities and to assess their needs and priorities.
