First Aspect of Empathetic Communication

عن الفيديو

First aspect of Empathetic Communication is the result of its 4 components: observation, which is distinct from evaluation and emotion, feeling, which is distinct from a belief or an idea, a need that is different from strategy, and demand and stipulation.

With the four components we express ourselves. In fact, empathic communication is costly in terms of energy and time, but that cost remains less than the losses that could be incurred if we deal violently with others. Most people who begin to practice nonviolent communication face many difficulties with the other environment as a result of the different culture as a result of the long cultural conditions that we have lived through as individuals.

There is an important point in expressing ourselves that we call “frightening honesty”. The question here is: “What scares me to express myself honestly and authentically?”. The truer we express ourselves, the more comfortable we are, but this topic takes time to transpire.

Sometimes we do not express our thought or feelings because of the different strategies to meet our needs for each other. Our human needs and strategies prevent us from living honestly and authentically as a result of our fear that we will lose, for example, a human relationship. Unfortunately, we avoid speaking or expressing ourselves honestly because the cost will be very high if we delay talking and do not express ourselves honestly at the current stage.

Nonviolent communication is a method and approach that can be used at all levels and in all areas in our intimate relationship, at school, work, or in resolving conflicts and fights.

Nonviolent communication can replace our old ways of expression and communication and allow us to live in love, peace and cooperation with one another.
